Snowmen

You'd think with all this snow, people would make snowmen, and you'd be right.

I don't know who built this little fella, but he belongs to the shop behind. He's holding a little sign exhorting people to come in, and he's got a rather fetching bunch of flowers behind his snow-ears, but for some reason he's smoking a straw. That, or he's lost his drink. It's not the best-looking snowman in the world, but an A for effort. I mean, check out that Santa hat!

Further along the road sits this guy. Much better! Look at those shades. This guy's too cool for school. He wouldn't even talk to Aled Jones, let alone be his little buddy. I felt a bit self-conscious snapping this on a busy shopping street. I can't imagine what it was like for whoever made him.

Oddly enough, the only time I've seen someone make a snowman, it's been a middle-aged man, not even with kids around! Mis-spent middle age? Another unorthodox solution to the unemployment problem?
